uPVC Windows
How can we help you?
Our uPVC Windows
At The Traditional Window Company, our uPVC windows blend the classic appeal of traditional timber with the benefits of modern manufacturing. The result is a range of elegant, durable sash windows that improve both the security and insulation of your home.
These windows have been thoughtfully designed and crafted to combine the low-maintenance benefits of modern materials with the timeless character and charm of traditional period sash windows. This ensures you enjoy the classic look you love, without the hassle of regular upkeep.

Seamless construction
Authenticity isn’t just about what you add to a uPVC window – it’s also about what you leave out. Standard uPVC designs often feature caps and covers that create visible seams and shadow lines.
At The Traditional Window Company, we’ve developed seamless technology that eliminates these, resulting in a smooth, uninterrupted finish that closely resembles real timber.

Mechanical joints
All joints on our uPVC windows are true joinery-style mechanical butt joints – a key feature of traditional timber window design.
There’s no welding involved, and the joint orientation mirrors that of original timber windows: vertical on the sashes and horizontal on the frame.

35mm midrail
Original timber windows are defined by their slim timber profiles, and our uPVC sash windows replicate these elegant sightlines throughout.
Most notably, we use an ultra-slim midrail measuring just 35mm deep – the slimmest available on the market, and around 10% slimmer than the closest alternative.

Paint-effect finish
Standard uPVC windows often come with a smooth glossy finish or an artificial woodgrain texture, but neither truly replicates the look of painted timber.
That’s why we offer our unique chalk-textured finish – it removes the shine of typical uPVC and adds subtle texture, without the unrealistic woodgrain found on many alternatives.
A Smart Choice
uPVC windows are a smart choice for homeowners seeking energy efficiency and low maintenance. With excellent insulation properties, they help keep your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer—potentially reducing your energy bills.
Available with double or triple glazing, they further enhance thermal performance. Unlike traditional timber windows, uPVC won’t rot or warp and requires only the occasional wipe with soapy water to stay looking fresh.
Other Key Benefits
Cost-effectiveness is another key benefit. uPVC is generally more affordable than timber or aluminium, offering strong long-term value thanks to its durability and minimal need for repairs. Modern designs also replicate the appearance of classic timber, making them ideal for period homes or properties in conservation areas. A wide range of colours and finishes is available, so you can tailor the look to suit your home.
Security and sound reduction are also built in. Multi-point locking systems are commonly used, with optional safety features such as child locks and restrictors for added peace of mind. When paired with quality glazing, these windows can help block external noise, improving comfort indoors. uPVC is also weather-resistant, maintaining its appearance through all seasons, and is recyclable—making it a more environmentally responsible option too.
