Timber casement windows are classic hinged designs, commonly found in medieval buildings, cottages, and homes from various historical periods. They are defined by sashes that close into the frame, sitting flush with the window face for a clean, traditional appearance.
While maintaining their authentic style, our timber casement windows incorporate advanced technology. Made from warp-resistant timber, they feature multi-point locking systems, integrated ventilation grooves, discreet drainage channels, and high-performance glazing units that lose around half the heat of standard double glazing—delivering both charm and efficiency.
Standard Specification
Our timber casement windows are made to order from premium Hardwood, Accoya, or Oak, and can be painted or stained to match your exact requirements. Designed for both period and contemporary properties, we’ve completed installations ranging from heritage refurbishments to barn conversions.
Each window is fully drained and vented, factory-glazed with Argon gas-filled sealed units featuring soft coat energy-saving glass and warm edge spacer bars—achieving a U-value of 1.1 W/m²K. They are factory-finished with preservative, primer, and two coats of micro-porous paint for lasting durability.
Technical features include dummy sashes to fixed areas, internal beading, multi-point perimeter locking, and discreet pivot hinges. Period ironmongery is also available to complete the authentic look.
Alongside our full installation service, we offer a supply-only option and regularly work with architects, builders, and self-builders across the UK.
